Yin Yoga is a slow passive form of yoga that stretches and stimulates the connective tissues rather than the muscles, so enabling very deep work on the ligaments and fascia that more dynamic yoga practices cannot offer. The postures are simple and accessible, held for an extended period of time and focus on stretching and releasing the whole spine, shoulders and hips.

In this class we will explore how these soft passive, long-held stretches can be helpful for easing areas of long term tension by stimulating the meridian channels. As we soften and release the held poses, we will also release the blockages and encourage the flow of energy, Chi, Prana, life force through your entire being.

This is a very relaxing and revitalising form of yoga that is beneficial for both beginners and experienced yogis, and is a great complement to a dynamic yang style practice, such as vinyasa yoga.
