What is Movement? To begin to form an answer, it is necessary to undergo a paradigm shift, redefining through experience what is considered to be “exercise”, “fitness" or “physicality". Movement culture seeks to break down the barriers between discipline and art, work and play and draws inspiration from a spectrum of modalities, including dance, martial arts, gymnastics, circus, somatics, breath work amongst others.
A typical class may consist of both individual and partner-based work, in the form of patterns, challenges, games and improvisations. Our work may improve coordination, increase range of mobility, develop unconventional strength, restore balance and improve life quality.
This practice is suited for anyone who has a body, particularly those wishing to explore their body and mind through a different lens.
